Clarifier
Clarifier
The clarifier device is similar to the separator and the difference between these two devices is as follows:
There is one inlet and one outlet in the clarifier, and one inlet and two outlets (cream and milk behind the wheel) in the separator.
The plates in the clarifier are smaller in diameter than the separator plates in order to provide more space for sludge collection.
• This device is used to separate impurities and foreign substances in hot or cold milk (through centrifugal force).
Impurities include suspended particles, somatic cells and bacterial cells. If it is high, the acidity of the raw milk, part of the casein and nitrogenous substances of the milk enters the slime (sediment of the device).
• After clarification, the milk enters the balance tank and reaches temperature equilibrium and is stored for sending to the next stages of the process.
